EduBirdie.com functions as a “matching” service, setting up a process by which customers and writers can negotiate and contract for writing products. This is a business model used by a number of writing services, some good some not so much. When we review such a company, we use the same criteria that we do for traditional writing services – we study the site content; we look at the requirements for writers to register; we study on-site testimonials and off-site customer reviews; we review customer profiles and sample writings if available; we compare pricing, customer benefits. And we report on our own experience of ordering a research paper. This Edu Birdie review is the result of what we found.

Offered Products and Services

EduBirdie functions as a clearinghouse for customers and writers. Customers submit orders which are then placed on a job board. Registered freelance writers then bid on the orders until a customer accepts one bid. From that point on, it is up to the customer and the writer to communicate.

Because of the wide range of writers, the company is able to advertise virtually any type of writing product – academic writing for students at all study levels; business writing; copywriting services for web-based businesses; resumes and CV’s; and editing.

Quality of Products/Writers

The only on-site information about writers are their profiles. Most do not offer samples, and their profiles are not in depth. There are customer testimonials and a star-based rating. It is up to a customer to inquire about a writer’s background and education.

In order to try to determine the level of quality, we reviewed several things, with these results:

  • On-site testimonials on writer profiles are all positive – no surprise here
  • We found off-site customer feedback, which was far more mixed. A few were satisfied; more complained about the quality of writing and resources; others pointed out issues with communication, both with their writers and with customer service.
  • We received our ordered research paper on time. It was disappointing. For a college-level work, it was far too elementary, in style, tone, and resources used. What became clear from the grammatical errors was that this was not a native English-speaking writer. We made a request for revisions, but it was not answered.

Overall, we are able to say that EduBirdie.com is not a fraud or scam. But there are obviously issues of product quality. We could not find a company BBB membership.

Quality of Customer Support

This was another disappointment. Customers with issues can only contact the company is sending an email message. We sent twice. The first was not answered; the second was, and it told us to deal with our writer to get resolution. Other than keeping a database of writers and collecting money, we are not certain what company personnel actually do.

Prices and Discounts

There are no fixed Edu Birdie prices. All costs are negotiated between the customer and his/her chosen writer. Because of this, there are obviously no company discounts or coupon codes. While traditional writing services tend to at least have a discount promo code for new comers, any reduction in price here will have to be negotiated with a writer.

Additional Benefits

EduBirdie promises no benefits to its customers. Again, this is a matter for customer-writer discussion.

Customers are told through the site that they may request revisions for free. We did so. We did not receive a response from our writer.

Recommendations

Quality of product is not what it should be. Looking at pros & cons, this is a huge “con.” And much of this is probably due to the fact that there are no qualifications for a writer to register with the company. There is thus no quality control, and customers can suffer because of that. We are not impressed, do not recommend the company, and give it a rating of “Fair-to-Poor.”

I asked them to edit my essay and format it in accordance with the MLA type. However, they didn`t take it seriously and just changed a couple of sentences. Basically, I paid $70 for nothing. Disappointing. Do not recommend for any kind of a usage.

Looking for a nice kind of a writing mentor for my college assignments I found EduBirdie. I placed so many hopes and so much trust into them and all of that had failed when I got my rewritten essay delivered. That is one of the most frustrating experiences in my life. I would have never ever recommended this place to any of my friends. However, I was given a discount. However number two, it didn`t help much.

Except for a nice birdie on their website (design) there is nothing to talk about. This resource is weak with writing and actually isn`t able to perform nicely written papers. Although, it might look like they are trying hard to do all the tasks, in reality, they are just creating a view of being busy and keeping it professional. From my point of view, they do not deserve being recommended for any kind of college writing.

They actually do not compose papers, they do editing and rewriting. Thus, I don`t see much use with cooperation with them. Even though, I`d rather say that I see many reasons of why not to work with them at all. And that`s I haven`t even started talking about their expensive prices yet. If you`re crawling for professionals and expertly nailed papers – this place isn`t the right for you.

I wish I could give no stars for the things this site has put me through. Oh and by the way, if you request a refund, they block your IP address on their livechat feature. So you’ll have to keep resetting your IP address or going to public wifi places in order to try to contact them – and ultimately get blocked again.
They wont be able to scam other people for long, their time is coming.
