This is our review of Essay Edge. We are writing it because we have received several inquiries about this company. Before we start, let’s go over everything we did in preparation for writing this overview:
- We explored the company website.
- We researched it online and read customer reviews discussing the products and services offered.
- We placed an order and contacted customer service.
- We researched the BBB website and determined that this company is not a fraud or scam.
- We created a list of pros & cons to be considered when writing up our final rating.
Offered Products And Services
EssayEdge.com isn’t a traditional writing service. Instead, they offer students help with editing and proofreading of academic papers. Essay Edge also edits and proofreads admissions documents.
According to the EssayEdge.com website, the company provides services to students ranging from high school to graduate school. They also claim that EssayEdge employs editors who have attended Ivy League schools.
Subjects that are listed on the Essay Edge site include, hospitality, computer science, social work, education, etc. We placed an order to have a five page history essay proofread. We selected the most basic service level offered by EssayEdge with a 48 hour turnaround time.
Quality of Products/Writers
We decided that the best way to be able to review quality of products and writers (editors) would be to take an essay and insert a variety of errors. So, that’s what we did. These errors ranged from mild spelling and grammar mistakes to leaving off the concluding paragraph entirely. In total, we added 15 mistakes that would result in points being deducted in the classroom.
When we received our paper, we were eager to see if all errors had been fixed. The company’s credit, they did notice the missing, concluding paragraph. They also caught a few of the other errors. Hower, six errors were not corrected. In schools where even half and quarter grades mean a lot, this was a real disappointment.
Quality of Customer Support
We made a point to speak to customer support both before and after we placed our order. They were very polite each time. However, after we received our completed paper and had complaints, it was impossible to get any real help or resolution. We were essentially told that we should not expect perfection. We were not completely surprised, because some testimonials we read criticized the company for its approach to complaints.
Prices And Discounts
We compared prices with the cost of editing a paper advertised at another content writing service. What we discovered is that the price per page here is almost four times the rate at the other website. We thought that this was absolutely outrageous. Even a promo code for a twenty dollar discount did very little to soften that blow. Of course, when prices are so high, a few coupon codes aren’t really going to make a dent.
Additional Benefits
There aren’t too many additional benefits that we were able to find. There is a fairly well written blog. However, the content is mostly related to academics. So, many readers might find it to be a bit on the dry side. There are also some sample essays available for review.
Recommendations
Although our experience was not completely negative, we cannot recommend using this service. The prices are simply too high, and the editors are not diligent enough in catching mistakes.

As a high school student I trusted their words about my application essay transformation. Yet, the one written by them didnt get accepted to any college I sent it!!!! Why? Probably because their writers are not professional and their service is a waste of money!

I loved that guy saying that EssayEdge is on the edge. Really, it looks like so. They do not react to your words after the payment. Be careful, they also write bad papers and again – you won`t be able to push on them to make editing and change paper at least a little to look better. Cruel, very cruel service this is.
